By Harry Awurumibe After a not too impressive two matches in the on-going FIFA U 20 Women’s World Cup final in France, Nigeria’s Falconets Chief Coach, Christopher Danjuma Musa, has hinted that his girls are determined to beat China on Monday to pick a quarterfinal ticket.
Speaking exclusively to Prompt News Online from France, he said that the Falconets are condemned to get to get a favourable result to stay in the competition as any thing short of a draw or an outright victory against the strong Asian country will jeopardise Nigeria’s chance to advance to the next stage of the football fiesta.
Danjuma revealed that Falconets coaching crew has been holding team talks with the players to review each of the matches already played and also preview the crucial Group D final match against China.
He said that everyone is aware of the task ahead and the need to for everybody to work hard to ensure that victory is assured.
Danjuma who is also the Technical Adviser of Nasarawa Amazons FC, hinted that the Falconets have no injury worries as most of the players are in top shape and rearing to go hard against a strong Team China.
Nigeria will join Germany to qualify for the quarterfinal stage if the Falconets should avoid defeat by the Chinese.
