Nigeria’s Super Eagles have gained three spots on the latest FIFA ranking, finishing 12th in Africa and 63rd in the world.
In Africa, Côte d’Ivoire are first, followed by Cape Verde Islands while Algeria are third, according to the latest ranking released on Thursday.
Interestingly, Super Eagles next opponent in the African Cup of Nations qualifiers, Egypt are 8th in Africa.
At the world stage, Belgium still maintain the number one position, followed by Argentina and Spain in second and third positions respectively.
Germany and Chile are fourth and fifth respectively.
